Raging River Greeting Card

Tazia Fawley’s Raging River is a joyous riot of colour and movement. Tazia is a 52 year old artist from Somerset, an artist who just happens to have Downs’s Syndrome. Tazia has exhibited in numerous art exhibitions and hopes that her successes as an artist will go some way to dispel the limiting stereotypes of people with Down’s Syndrome.

“This is one of my favourite paintings, because I really like the feeling that the river is running swiftly over the rocks.   I made patterns out of the trees and bushes and simplified their shapes, so in many ways, it is quite abstract."
