Ella struggles with mental health, including anxiety and depression. Art has become a means of calming and slowing down her busy mind. She has always been interested in the natural world and nature documentaries, enjoying glimpses into the fascinating worlds they inhabit. Her art gives her focus and motivation.

Blue tits are a frequent visitor to our bird feeders, and I often find they’re nesting nearby. I was inspired to paint this after a peaceful afternoon spent watching the blue tits and their many fledglings flitting about the garden.
